02/22/2010 Governor Perdue announces 2010 Entrepreneur Summit Governor Sonny Perdue announced today that the 2010 Entrepreneur Summit will take place March 2-3 at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. The theme for this year's summit is "The Journey Continues...Survive and Thrive!" and will feature remarks by Governor Perdue and participation from members of the business and economic development communities in Georgia.

11/04/2009 State's Tourism Division Awards Marketing Grants ATLANTA, November 4, 2009 - The Georgia Department of Economic Development's (GDEcD) Tourism Division awarded co-operative tourism marketing grants to 41 communities, convention & visitor bureaus, regional travel associations and other non-profit tourism entities across the state. A total of $500,000 was awarded.

Georgia's Antebellum Trail, the state's first official tourism Trail, presents the second annual Antebellum Trail Pilgrimage on April 21-25, 2010. The 100-mile trail, spanning seven communities from Athens to Macon, features events, tours and entrance into private historic homes not generally open to the public.
